- Overview of Aluminum Substrate

Aluminum core PCBs are the most common type of metal core PCBs. The base material consists of an aluminum core and standard FR4. It features thermal cladding to efficiently dissipate heat while cooling components and improving the product's overall performance. Aluminum Backed PCBs are currently considered the solution for high power and tight tolerance applications.

• Advantages of aluminum substrates


The aluminum PCB has the advantages of environmental protection: the aluminum material is non-toxic and recyclable. • Aluminum PCB layer


aluminum PCB is a unique layering system consisting of the following layers: 


- Circuit layer:

Printed circuit foils are 1 oz to 5 oz thick. 

- Dielectric layer: 
Some options can be available for dielectric layers, which provide electrical isolation with minimal thermal resistance. It is also used to bond circuit layers and substrates together. - Base Layer:
The base is usually aluminum, but it can also be copper. The most commonly used thickness is 0.040" (1.0mm), although many alternative thicknesses are available.

   - Dielectric layer:
